Please read this information carefully before ordering. It describes the dimensions, contents and requirement for “The Standard” Zoom-Room line of cabinets. See the Zoom-Room Specification sheet on this website for more information about the Zoom-Room mechanism and mattress.
All purchases of “The Standard” center cabinets include a Zoom-Room mechanism and mattress.

Includes CD/DVD drawer, 12” pullout side table, upper cabinet with two adjustable shelves, hanging rod, and door, and lower cabinet with one adjustable shelf and door.

Ordering “The Standard” Cabinets
If purchasing on-line, a center cabinet, including the Zoom-Room mechanism and mattress, must be included in your order. If you would like to order components or optional cabinets individually please call us at (888) 211-1120.
Orders purchased on-line can be shipped to the 48 Continental United States only. If you would like delivery to Alaska or Hawaii, or to any country outside of the US, please call (888) 211-1120.
You may always purchase custom cabinetry and Zoom-Room mechanisms and mattresses through an Authorized Zoom-Room Dealer, or by calling Zoom-Room directly at (888) 211-1120. Many also carry “The Standard” cabinets.

Delivery
There are three levels of delivery service:
Standard:
Your Zoom-Room cabinets, mechanism and mattress will be delivered to the curb outside your home. You need to have two people available at delivery to bring the boxes into your home.
Premium:
YourZoom-Room cabinets, mechanism and mattress will be delivered into the room where you plan to install your unit.
White Glove:
Your Zoom-Room cabinet, mechanism and mattress will be delivered into your home, unpacked, installed, and all packaging will be carted away by the installers.
You may choose your delivery option during checkout, where you can see the price for each delivery service for the cabinetry combination you have ordered. You will be able to change your selection anytime before paying.
Materials
“The Standard” Cabinets are made of high quality, warp resistant MDF with easy to clean, scratch resistant, Melamine wood grain finish (white finish also available). MDF is denser than plywood and has no added urea formaldehyde.
All panels are predrilled for easy installation.
TV and Stereo Wiring for Side Cabinets
Upper cabinet shelves include wiring cutouts for stereo systems, with a grommet in the fixed lower shelf. A pre-drilled hole at the back of the drawer allows for passing wires from a flat screen TV at the front of the unit, with space for a power strip at the back of the drawer.
Note: If you plan to install a flat screen TV onto your Zoom-Room cabinet, it needs to be installed before the bed mechanism and mattress. Please plan accordingly.

Installation
Zoom-Room recommends that you use a professional to install your cabinets as well as the Zoom-Room mechanism and mattress. A good handyman, cabinet maker, or your Authorized Zoom-Room Dealer can do the job. Alternatively, you may use our White Glove delivery service which includes installation. Detailed installation instructions are included. Some of the panels are heavy, so it’s important to have at least two people available to lift these items safely. Always use your legs, not your back, when lifting heavy items.
For The Standard line of cabinets, together with the mechanism and mattress, all you need is a Phillips-head screwdriver and an electric drill with screwdriver bit, along with a level. A rubber mallet, though not required, comes in handy as well.
We estimate installation of all three cabinets, plus the installation of the Zoom-Room mechanism and mattress, will take approximately 5 hours for those doing it for the first time. Installation questions? Please call us at (888) 211-1120 between the hours of 10am-5pm EST.
Space and Other Requirements
- Your Zoom-Room bed will extend 9’ from the back of the cabinet. This area must be unobstructed.
- A Zoom-Room will not “climb” over area rugs – they will have to be removed in order to operate the bed efficiently.
- Floors must be level and smooth.
- Floors may be any hard surface, or covered with low to medium pile wall-to-wall carpeting. High pile or shag carpeting, or thick padding will impede the functioning of the bed.
- Your ceilings must be at least 92” tall. Be sure no ceiling fans or other objects hanging from the ceiling will be in the way when the cabinet is lifted into place.
- Check to make sure the cabinet will not cover or impede the functioning of windows, doors, air vents, etc.
- Make sure that there is a standard 110v outlet behind or near the unit to plug in your Zoom-Room bed.
